About Us

At comeUNITY, we are a multi-denominational movement uniting Christians, churches, and organizations to work together in bringing our community closer to God. Rooted in faith and inspired by Acts 2:46, we are more than a ministry—we are a growing movement committed to serving Christ in the streets, shining His light, and spreading His love.

Mission

To help our communities come to unity in Christ by working together as Christians, churches, and organizations to serve, share the gospel, and build the body of Christ.

Vision

Imagine a community where churches unite to serve, guided by the Holy Spirit, creating initiatives that strengthen the body of Christ and demonstrate His love in real and tangible ways. Together, we dream of a movement where:

  • Churches collaborate instead of compete.

  • Christians are seen working in unity.

  • Lives are transformed as we show up in the streets to serve.

Our Story

comeUNITY began with a simple yet powerful vision: What if our community could witness and experience the love of Christ through the unity of churches serving together outside the church? This idea, inspired by Acts 2:46, first took root when the vision was shared with Lova Ebbert, who, along with her husband Jerry Ebbert, runs Ebbert’s Market and Event Center. Lova, moved by the vision, encouraged sharing it further with a local pastor.

With shared hearts and vision, the pastor helped organize informal lunches, inviting local pastors to gather at the Cracker Barrel. These gatherings became an opportunity for old friends—some of whom hadn’t seen each other in years—to reconnect. As they shared meals and conversations, the idea of unity began to take shape.

The next step was to extend the invitation to a broader audience, leading to dinners at Ebbert’s Market Event Center. Christians from multiple churches came together to share meals, open their hearts, and explore the work Jesus wants done in our communities and region. It felt reminiscent of the early church described in Acts 2:46, where followers of Christ “broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.”

What began as small gatherings grew into a movement, with a leadership team forming to organize events and initiatives that bless the Ohio Valley.

Now, with multiple dinners and numerous community events behind us, comeUNITY continues to grow, uniting believers to bring hope through Christ’s love and service.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well”

that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
